Perhaps one of the most popular passages in the Bible is Psalm 23. The Psalm is David’s description of God. We know that David was a shepherd so it would only be fitting to assume he would describe God in the same manner. However, David uses the words Jehovah-rohi. David uses the covenant name of Jehovah but adds rohi, meaning shepherd.
